Lines of work

Young Civil Society Leaders Program

Our flagship program creates a vibrant community of young civil society leaders from the Southern Neighbourhood. Over three one-year cycles, 75 young leaders from partner countries will hone their advocacy and leadership skills while spearheading civic engagement initiatives on issues of mutual interest in their own nations.

Structured Dialogue

We facilitate in-depth dialogues between Civil Society in the Southern Mediterranean and EU institutions within predefined sectors including Good Governance, Human Rights, Rule of Law, Economic Development, Migration, and Climate Change/Green Transition. This is done in close cooperation with 6 Framework partners – the Arab Reform InitiativeCOSPE, Euro Med Rightsthe Euro-Mediterranean Foundation of Support to Human Rights Defenders, Norwegian Refugee Council and Minorities Rights Group, who provide the civil society input. Our support encompasses thematic webinars, advocacy campaigns, and an annual Civil Society Forum, convening 200 participants from Civil Society in the South and EU institutions every year.

Enhancing EU-CSO Engagement

We offer tailored assistance to the European Commission HQ (DG NEAR) and European Union Delegations in the Southern Neighbourhood, aiming to enrich EU strategies and capacities in engaging with civil society actors. Our support spans the design of engagement strategies, development of engagement tools and methodologies, and the creation of civil society stakeholder analyses, mappings, and political economy assessments, among other services.
