Fostering Partnerships for a Thriving Civil Society
Framework Partners (FPs) are organizations with whom the Commission concludes Financial Framework Partnership Agreements (FPAs) that constitute a basis for medium-term cooperation between the Commission and specific beneficiaries. These were selected based on the Call for proposals that share the EU’s vision on the capacity development of CSOs across the Southern Neighbourhood (SN), the regional structured dialogue between the EU and CSOs, and a framework of enhanced cooperation, based on mutual interests and common general objectives. Specific grant agreements have been awarded to a limited number of those Framework Partners. Under Civil Society Facility for the Mediterranean, there are currently 6 Framework partners for 2023 to 2026, which are described below.
Advocating for Refugees and Minorities: At the heart of these partnerships lies a deep commitment to vulnerable groups. Organisations like the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and the Minority Rights Group (MRG) work tirelessly to protect the rights and dignities of refugees and minority populations, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected.
Empowering through Knowledge and Action: Knowledge is power, and EuroMed Rights (EMR) along with the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI), are leading the charge in educating and mobilising communities for political and social reform. Through their programs, they empower individuals with the knowledge to advocate for their rights and the rights of others.
Collaboration for Impact: COSPE and other partner organisations encapsulate the essence of collaboration. By joining forces, they amplify their impact and drive forward initiatives that pave the way for a more just and equitable society. Together, they are not just partners; they are changemakers.
