The Maktabat MEPI Library is as an online repository for training resources developed by civil society organizations and institutions that support civil society in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through funding from The U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). The Library also includes related resources created by organizations that work towards more pluralistic, participatory and prosperous societies throughout the region.

The broad range of topics included in the Library reflects the wealth of information and knowledge developed by MEPI projects. The site offers more than 800 training resources from 65 U.S. and local organizations, including training manuals, curricula and presentations, on topics ranging from entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership to social media and civic engagement. Resources are organized by five technical areas – Civic Engagement, Governance and Human Rights, Economic Growth, Education and Media. In addition, material is categorized by Gender and Youth, when applicable.

As part of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA) at the U.S. Department of State, MEPI supports organizations and individuals in their efforts to promote political, economic and social reform in the Middle East and North Africa.
