This video (mainly in French with subtitles in English and Arabic) presents the CSO WINS project “Capacity-building in the Southern Mediterranean to open policy dialogue and monitoring for women in society”, funded by the European Union. The video gives an overview of the 6-day training held in April 2016 on the planning of advocacy actions and the transfer of lessons learnt in this field. The participants shared their experiences and reinforced their skills in the mobilization of policy-makers and public opinion for women’s rights. The video shows some of the topics which were developed: how to define an advocacy objective, how to develop an argument with a policy-maker or launch a petition, as well as coaching and communication techniques aimed at promoting peer learning among associations who share similar objectives. As a result of the workshop 8 associations are now managing advocacy campaigns for women’s rights that will be carried out throughout the year 2016-2017″ The CSO WINS project is coordinated by the European Institute of the Mediterranean – IEMed (Spain) and is funded by the EU.
